Special Radio Features

Reprogram Request (ASTRO 25 Trunking Only)

This feature lets you notify the dispatcher that you want a new

dynamic regrouping assignment.

Select Enable / Disable

The dispatcher can classify regrouped radios into either select

enabled or select disabled.

• Select-enabled radios are free to change to any available channel,

including the dynamic-regrouping channel, once the user has

selected the dynamic-regrouping position.

• Select-disabled radios cannot change channels. The dispatcher has

forced the radio to remain on the dynamic-regrouping channel.

The Scan or Private Call feature cannot be selected while your radio

is select disabled.

1 Press the preprogrammed

Reprogram Request button.

The reprogram request is sent

to the dispatcher.

• Reprogram request sent

2 If you hear one beep, press the

PTT button to send the

reprogram request again.

• One beep

If you hear five beeps, the

reprogram request was

acknowledged by the

dispatcher.

• Five beeps

If the dispatcher does not

acknowledge the reprogram

request within six seconds, you

hear a low-pitched alert tone.

Try again.
