Error Messages

When a problem occurs with the memory card or with the camera’s internal programming or circuitry, an error message will

be displayed superimposed on the image in the LCD monitor.

• Delete photographs from card

• Insert new card

OUT OF MEMORY

CARD IS FULL

Error encountered while saving photo

or camera has run out of folder or

file numbers

• Create new folder

• Set Seq. Numbers in A-REC or

M-REC setup menu to OFF

• Reformat memory card

IMAGE CANNOT

BE SAVED

Card has not been formatted for use

in COOLPIX 990

Using multi selector, highlight FOR-

MAT and press multi selector to

right to format memory card, or turn

camera off and replace card
