Step 4 Turn the Camera On

4.1 Open the monitor and remove

the lens cap.

• See “Opening and Adjusting the

Angle of the Monitor” (A5) for

more information.

4.2 Press the power switch.

• The monitor turns on.

• To turn the camera off, press the

ower switch again.

At times when you are not shooting images, attach the lens cap to the lens

to pr

otect it.

C The Auto Off Function

• If no operations are performed for a while, the monitor will turn off, the

amera will enter standby mode, and the power-on lamp will flash. If no

operations are performed for another 3 minutes, the camera will turn off

automatically.

• While the camera is in standby mode, the monitor turns back on if you

rform any of the following operations:

- Press the power switch, shutter-release button, or c butt

on.

- Rotate the mode dial.

- Open or close the monitor.
