Pairing with a Smartphone or Tablet
4 Close all apps that use NFC, including the SnapBridge 360/170
app.
• Pairing may fail if apps that use NFC are running.
5 Press the movie button or photo
button on the camera to put it into
pairing standby mode.
• When the status lamps flash green at the same
time for a while and then alternately flash green,
the camera enters pairing standby mode.
• If the camera remains in pairing standby mode for
about 4 minutes, it turns off (the power-on lamp
turns off) automatically. If the camera turns off
during the pairing procedure, press the movie
button or photo button on the camera to put it
into pairing standby mode.
* If the camera does not enter pairing standby
mode even after pressing the movie button or photo button, press and hold the
movie button for about 7 seconds while the camera is off.
6 Tap the NFC antenna of the smart device
to the Y (N-Mark) on the camera.
• The SnapBridge 360/170 app starts. When Camera
name acquired. Connect? is displayed, select OK.
• If pairing is successful, the screen shown on the right
is displayed.
• If pairing is successful, the smart device is automatically
paired simply by starting the SnapBridge 360/170 app when
the camera is turned on next time (except when unpairing
using the menus below or the camera’s firmware is updated).

• If pairing fails, the status lamps flash red six times at the same time. When a message
indicating that pairing has failed is displayed on the screen, tap OK and repeat the
procedure from step 1.
